Dazzling Chopard events at Cannes

Maison Chopard caters to the luxurious tastes of gentlemen and ladies of distinction; so it is no surprise that the marque hosts exclusive events for its distinguished friends and aficionados at this high-octane festival. “Day & Night” brings you glimpses of three fabulous events hosted by the brand…

Chopard Gentlemen’s Evening in Cannes

The first soiree held by the Maison to kick off the festivities in Cannes paid tribute to its men’s watch collection. On this occasion, Caroline Scheufele was joined by her brother and fellow Co-President of the family business, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, in hosting actors and socialites renowned for their elegance. Guests included Christoph Waltz, Luke Evans, James Norton, Mads Mikkelsen, Liao Fan, Gang Dong Wong, George Spencer-Churchill, Oliver Cheshire, Toby Huntington-Whiteley, as well as Julianne Moore, Marion Cotillard, Isabelle Adjani, Celina Jade, Miao Miao, Araya Hargate, and others.

Chopard’s Secret Night

After being kept a well-guarded secret, the veil of mystery enshrouding Chopard’s “big party” revealed an evening that exceeded expectations. Caroline Scheufele, co-president, dazzled her guests by hosting the event at the magnificent Château de la Croix des Gardes with its stunning panoramic view of the bay of Cannes. The highlight of the evening was an exclusive performance by Spanish singer, Enrique Iglesias. The exclusive dinner was attended by the big names of the world of cinema, fashion and lifestyle, who were surprised by a mind-blowing parade in which Elsa Hosk, Josephine Skriver, Joan Smalls, Jasmine Tookes, Sara Sampaio, Izabel Goulart, Sui He, Ming Xi, Stella Maxwell and Irina Shayk, dressed in Elie Saab and Aquazzura shoes, showed off Haute Joaillerie creations from Chopard’s Red Carpet Collection.

Trophée Chopard 2018

Created in 2001 at the initiative of Caroline Scheufele, a passionate film enthusiast, the Trophée Chopard annually rewards two youthful talents from the world of cinema. This year, the Trophée Chopard Committee chose to distinguish Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki and British actor Joe Alwyn. At a ceremony held in the Martinez Hotel and presented by Thierry Frémaux, General Delegate of the Cannes Film Festival, the two laureates were handed their awards by Diane Kruger, the distinguished patroness of the Trophée Chopard 2018, who had won this prize in 2003 and was honoured with the Best Actress award at last year’s Cannes Film Festival. Surrounded by prestigious international film celebrities such as Cate Blanchett and Jane Fonda, the prize winners were duly toasted by the global movie family. Former laureates and members of the award jury were also on hand to congratulate them. The musical tone of this prestigious evening was set by French actor and actress Camélia Jordana and DJ Nikki.

Greg Williams captures Chopard at Cannes

Throughout the 71st Cannes International Film Festival, British photographer Greg Williams captured celebrities wearing Chopard jewellery before they walk the red carpet, shooting unique behind-the-scene portraits. Lupita Nyong’o, Carla Bruni, Diane Kruger, Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore, Kendall Jenner and Marion Cotillard are all seen here, dazzling in haute joaillerie from Chopard…
