The spirit of excellence lives in the new Montblanc 4810 Collection

Dubbed after the Mont Blanc Mountain, the highest mountain in Europe that measures 4,810 meters, the luxury Maison Montblanc honours the iconic number 4810 in its latest collection of fascinating timepieces that also celebrates the golden age of travel across the Atlantic Ocean as well as commemorates its 110th year of excellence and legacy

This year, with a new 4810 Collection, Montblanc builds on this best-selling line that was first presented in 2006 for the Maison’s centennial celebrations. The new Montblanc 4810 Collection respects all the codes of Montblanc’s watchmaking, with its strong, elegant and sporty design, offering a new sophisticated interpretation of this much loved 4810 Collection for the modern traveller who needs a performance timepiece he can rely on.

Also to celebrate the Maison’s 110th anniversary, and the incredible era in which it was founded, Montblanc is introducing a number of unique new timepieces in its 4810 Collection. With a choice of three in-house movements including a number of manufacture complications – Calibre MB 29.21 ExoTourbillon Stop-Second, Calibre MB LL100.1 TwinFly Chronograph, and the Calibre MB 29.20 World Timer.

Each timepiece in the 4810 Collection follows the strong and elegant design codes of the Maison with guilloché dials featuring the prominent exploding Montblanc star motif, red gold Roman numerals and indexes, larger and bolder cases, and beautifully designed regate-shaped and skeleton hands. The attention to detail brings a new level of sophistication to the 4810 Collection, showing how Montblanc continues to “share the passion” for watchmaking with timepieces that offer functions, quality and aesthetics to seduce watch aficionados the world over.

Montblanc 4810 ExoTourbillon Slim 110 Years Editions
The theme of travel across the Atlantic is also beautifully highlighted in the three Montblanc ExoTourbillon Slim 110 Years Editions with a miniature hand painting of a map of the North American, Asian and European Continent on the dial. Each of the 110 pieces is totally unique as no individual hand-painted map can ever be exactly the same as another.

A close look at the ExoTourbillon Slim 110 Years Editions reveals a 42mm white gold case with a number of subtle design details, including a thin bezel with satin finishing on the border and horns that, while straight from above, are slightly curved on the underside for maximum comfort on the wrist.

Montblanc 4810 ExoTourbillon Slim
Also in conjunction with the 110th anniversary celebrations is the new Montblanc ExoTourbillon Slim timepiece, which combines the Maison’s patented ExoTourbillon complication with the addition of a quick stop-second function.

It features the Calibre MB 29.21 ExoTourbillon automatic movement that incorporates a brand new micro-rotor decorated with a Côtes de Genève en Eventail motif and allows an uninterrupted view on the movement through a sapphire crystal case back, in comparison to a standard rotor that always hides half of the movement. Meanwhile, a red arrow on the tourbillon cage indicates the seconds and features a practical quick stop-second mechanism.

Montblanc 4810 TwinFly Chronograph 110 Years Edition
The new Montblanc 4810 TwinFly Chronograph 110 Years Edition allows the wearer to time one event, and then stop, reset and restart the chronograph with just one press on the pusher at 4 o’clock. This TwinFly function not only restarts the central chronograph seconds hand (in blue), but also the central minutes chronograph hand (in red gold), sending both hands back to zero and instantly restarting them for a new time measurement.

Driving the functions of the Montblanc 4810 TwinFly Chronograph 110 Years Edition is the Maison’s self-winding Calibre MB LL100.1 that has been developed and assembled entirely in-house and features both a chronograph and a dual time indication via an additional central hand.

Montblanc 4810 Orbis Terrarum
Following the success of the launch of the Montblanc Heritage Spirit Orbis Terrarum in 2015, Montblanc is now presenting this contemporary and highly appreciated worldtime function in its pioneering 4810 Collection. Named after the Latin Orbis Terrarum, which translates as “globe”, “earth” and “world”, this timepiece tells the time in 24 time zones in an intelligent and intuitive way, thanks to a manufacture complication developed in-house by Montblanc’s master watchmakers.

It displays a stunning dial that is constructed of multiple layers, starting with the main sapphire crystal disc that displays the continents as viewed from the North Pole and the names of the 24 cities representing the different time zones.

Montblanc 4810 Chronograph Automatic
The new 4810 Chronograph Automatic timepiece is in complete harmony with Montblanc’s strong characteristic design codes, combining both elegance and modernity with its bold 43mm stainless steel case, elegant silvery-white guilloché dial with exploding star pattern, and beautifully-crafted red gold-plated Roman numerals.

Powered by Montblanc’s self-winding MB 25.07 calibre, this integrated two-pusher chronograph indicates central hours and minutes, seconds in a subdial at 9 o’clock, date in a subdial at 6 o’clock with a triangle indicator, chronograph seconds hand in the centre, 30-minute chronograph counter at 12 o’clock and hour chronograph counter at 6 o’clock—all perfectly balanced across its refined guilloché dial.

Montblanc 4810 Day-Date
The Montblanc 4810 Day-Date is a highly functional wristwatch that features a date at 3 o’clock and the day written in full in a large arched aperture at 12 o’clock, allowing the user to read the information at a glance. The hours and minutes are indicated with red gold-plated, regate shaped hands that have been enhanced with SuperLumiNova and point to red gold-plated Roman numerals. The second hand has been crafted out of blued steel and follows a precise minute track that runs around the outside of the dial with red numerals for the “30” and “60” and SuperLumiNova dots to highlight the impair hours for improved reading at night.

Montblanc 4810 Orbis Terrarum Pocket Watch 110 Years Edition
The Montblanc 4810 Orbis Terrarum Pocket Watch 110 Years Edition not only harks back to the beginning of the 20th century when pocket watches were the timekeepers of choice, but also features the highly appreciated world timer function- the perfect complication for the modern traveller.

Powered by the Calibre MB 29.20, the world timer complication has been developed and assembled entirely in-house by the Maison’s watchmakers. The dial is highly legible thanks to the 53mm “Lépine” style steel case and a pure design, which leaves plenty of room for the 24 city names. The multilayer dial is crafted out of layers of sapphire crystal showing the continents as viewed from the North Pole. Finishing this stunning look around the map are the names of the 24 cities representing the different time zones, while under the map a disk indicates the passage of day and night, as well as the 24 time zones.
