Montblanc Heritage collection

The new Heritage product line from luxury maison Montblanc integrates a comprehensive range of movements inspired by high-end Minerva calibres from the past to a new perpetual calendar calibre, and a new mid-range monopusher chronograph that is quite rare and highly functional.

Inspired by historical Minerva classic wristwatches from the 1940s and 1950s, the new Heritage product line combines the elegance of watchmaking past with today’s bold design codes and technology.

Vintage aesthetics include domed dials with two finishings, and dots as indexes combined with 1940-50’s inspired colours such as salmon, smoked-caramel and silvery-white.

Fully polished cases from 39 to 42 mm feature curved horns with facets and are fitted with sapphire crystal glass boxes for an elegant historical look.

The entire product line is water-resistant to 5 bars and certified by the Montblanc Laboratory Test 500. New 3-, 6- and 9-minute chronograph markers recall the use of old-school payphones, while Sfumato straps from the Montblanc Pelletteria in Florence, Italy, embellish the timepieces.

Montblanc Heritage Perpetual Calendar Limited Edition 100

The Montblanc Heritage Perpetual Calendar features a brand-new manufacture movement, the calibre MB 29.22, which indicates the hours, minutes, day, date, month, moonphase and leap year through its large counters at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock.

The movement took three years to develop and is composed solely of wheels, in contrast to most perpetual calendars that use levers.

This enables the user to adjust the watch via the crown in both directions, making it far simpler to set.

Additionally, another new safety feature developed by the Montblanc movement engineers prevents the user from setting the watch between the hours of 8 pm and 12 pm, when any manipulation could damage the movement as the correctors are locked.

The watch is powered by a self-winding movement with a 48-hour power reserve and is also equipped with a dual-time function and a 24-hour indicator, particularly useful when travelling.

Housed in a 40 mm case with a choice of 18 K red gold for the limited edition, or stainless steel for the regular edition, the elegance of the case is highlighted by refined curved horns, a domed sapphire glass box and a distinctive silvery-white dial.

The Montblanc Heritage GMT comes in a 40 mm, fully-polished stainless steel case with curved horns and the Minerva Manufacture embossing on the caseback.

It is available in three versions — with a silvery-white domed dial and a grey Sfumato alligator-skin strap, with a steel mesh Milanese bracelet, or with a salmon-colored domed dial and a grey Sfumato alligator-skin strap coming from Richemont Pelletteria in Florence, Italy.

The three models have matching-coloured applied Arabic numerals, dots as indexes and hands, as well as domed sapphire crystals. The timepiece is powered by an automatic calibre equipped with a 24-hour GMT complication.

Montblanc Heritage Automatic

The Montblanc Heritage Automatic comes in a 40-mm stainless steel case with a choice of a silvery-white or salmon-coloured dial.

Both dials are adorned with applied Arabic numerals, dots as indexes and hands that are rhodium-coated or anthracite-coloured and enhanced with Super-LumiNova.

There is also the option for a 18K red gold version with a sophisticated smoked-caramel-coloured dial and red gold-coated applied dots as indexes.

Tested for 500 hours, the Montblanc Heritage Automatic is powered by Montblanc’s MB 24.27 automatic movement.

There are options for both stainless steel models with a grey Sfumato alligator strap or a steel mesh Milanese bracelet. The red gold version is equipped with a brown Sfumato alligator strap.

The domed silvery-white dial has applied Arabic numerals, dots as indexes and hands that have been rhodium-plated to match the colour of the case.

Montblanc Heritage Pulsograph Limited Edition 100

The highlight of the Maison’s new product line is the Heritage Pulsograph Limited Edition 100, a timepiece inspired by what collectors call the ‘doctor’s watches’, that were used by physicians in the past to check a patient’s heart rate.

This 40-mm timepiece comes in steel and is powered by the Montblanc Manufacture monopusher chronograph calibre MB M13.21 visible through the caseback, and includes a doctor’s pulsograph indication graduated for 30 pulsations.

Its elegant salmon-coloured domed dial features several vintage design codes that can be seen on Minerva wristwatches from the 1940s and 50s.

Montblanc Heritage Monopusher Chronograph

Montblanc presents a new monopusher chronograph – one of the technical pillars of Minerva movement crafting knowledge – offering an accessibly priced model at the centre of the Heritage product line.

The Montblanc Heritage Monopusher Chronograph features the latest chronograph design within the Montblanc product line.

A closer look at the minutes chronograph counter at three o’clock reveals an indicator for 3, 6 and 9 minutes – a vintage touch from the days when we used coin-operated telephones and needed to track the length and cost of a call.

This 42 mm timepiece comes in a fully polished stainless-steel case with curved horns, a domed sapphire glass box and the Minerva Manufacture embossing on the case back.

The mid-range monopusher movement is a nod to the long history of Minerva’s monopusher chronographs.
