As the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, OMEGA recently celebrated the 1-year countdown to Tokyo 2020, together with the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. An official countdown clock was unveiled in Marunouchi Central Square in downtown Tokyo. Measuring almost 4m high, the unique clock is inspired by the rising sun of Japan, as well as the Tokyo 2020 emblems. On one side, the clock counts down to the beginning of the Olympic Games on July 24, while the opposite side counts down to the beginning of the Paralympic Games, on August 25. To mark the occasion, OMEGA launched two Limited Edition watches – the Seamaster Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020 Limited Edition and the Seamaster Planet Ocean Tokyo 2020 Limited Edition – both limited to 2,020 pieces each.
