Panerai forges ahead with its mission to bring more circular practices to the world of watchmaking with a Luminor Marina built from an innovative metal. Composed of recycled-based material, the trademarked eSteel is an advancement that represents a step in Panerai’s commitment to reduce the need for virgin material extraction and its associated high environmental impact. Another surprise from Panerai is the Luminor Due in a manifestly feminine execution – the Panerai Piccolo Due Madreperla
Luminor Marina eSteel
89g of the Luminor Marina eSteel components – 58.4% of the total weight of the watch – are of recycled-based materials. Both the case and dial are of the new recycled-based steel alloy. Creating eSteel required intense coordination between all the brand’s partners, some of whom had never collaborated with a watch company. The timepiece features a brushed case with a polished bezel, a rubberised crown, and lever personalised with the eSteel logo. The watches are available in three dial colours: Blu Profondo, Grigio Roccia, and Verde Smeraldo, which is exclusive to Panerai boutiques and e-commerce. Each features a polished dial with gradient colour hues, with a printed eSteel logo. The Calibre P.9010 is an automatic movement, with a three-day power reserve and is made entirely in-house. The movement features a rapid adjustment system able to move the hour hand forward or backward in increments of one hour, independent of the minute hand. Water-resistant to 300 m, the timepiece features a recycled textile strap coordinating with its dial colour, eSteel trapezoidal pin buckle, an additional strap and a storage box composed of recycled material.
Panerai Piccolo Due Madreperla
Panerai is offering a brand new Luminor Due in a manifestly feminine execution, enhanced by iridescent mother-of-pearl dial. It is an elegant complement to the pink gold colour hands, applied numerals and date window that gleam with warm radiance, and reflects the light shed by numerals and indices filled by white SuperLumiNova with green luminescence. A large palette of alternative straps in a multitude of colours, textures, materials and stitches, available in boutiques or on request, transforms the watch to suit any occasion. With a 38 mm diameter, the smallest ever by Panerai, the model is a marker of elegance thanks to the Goldtech case. This precious gold alloy results from a significant percentage of copper (24%) and platinum (4%); in addition to its intense tone, the metal boasts heightened resistance to oxidation. Water-resistant up to 30 m, the timepiece features an interchangeable strap fitted with the Quick Release system in shiny red alligator with tone-on-tone stitching, and is completed by a trapezoidal pin buckle in polished Goldtech. A precious box of pear wood accompanies the model.
