Arnold & Son greet the Lunar New Year
Arnold & Son have launched an exquisitely crafted timepiece that incorporates Haute Horlogerie with traditional Chinese ink wash paintings to celebrate the Year of the Goat
Individuals born in the Chinese Year of the Goat are said to appreciate the finer things in life, and the latest limited edition from Arnold & Son is exactly that – one of the exquisite luxuries in life. This special tribute to the eighth animal sign in the Chinese zodiac is limited to just eight timepieces and features a hand-wound mechanical movement A&S1001 that stores a colossal power reserve of 90 hours.
The HM Goats timepiece features a picturesque hand-painted image of a family of goats feeding on green leaves infused on a white mother-of-pearl dial that could only have been perfected by years of skilled labour with a steady hand that the experienced craftsmen of Arnold & Son possess. The in-house calibre consists of 21 jewels and hums at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and is housed in an 18-carat rose gold case that measures 40mm in diameter and is water resistant to a depth of 30 meters.
Absent of hour markers, the dial supports 18-carat rose gold hands that sweep around the circumference pointing out the hours and minutes. The HM Goats timepiece is completed with hand-stitched brown or black alligator leather.
