Christie’s achieves $5.8 million for Patek Philippe ‘Sky Moon Tourbillon’

Christie’s set a global record for the most expensive watch auctioned online when a Patek Philippe ‘Sky Moon Tourbillon’ achieved US$ 5.8 million at their Hong Kong Top Of The Time Watches Online auction that took place in March 2023. The auction realised a total of $8,420,555, where 93% were Sold by Lot, and 131% Hammer Above Low Estimate. Other interesting complications included a Patek Philippe Grand Complications, Ref. 5208P-001, ca 2015, which sold for US$999,541; and a Gérald Genta time piece, which went for US$104,791, more than 5 times over its low estimate.
