High watchmaker Hublot is back with a collection of masterpieces that embody disruptive, creative and technical haute horlogerie, aimed at collectors eager to discover how the brand pushes the envelope. One of their star creations this year is the MP-13 Tourbillon Bi-Axis Retrograde that combines a bi-axis retrograde with a tourbillon and an impressive four-day power reserve. MP-13 Tourbillon Bi-Axis Retrograde
The 44 mm MP-13 – a limited edition of 50 pieces – is encased entirely in brushed titanium and brings together two complications – the tourbillon and the retrograde display – in one, unique watch. The tourbillon features two axes; Hublot is one of only a few watchmakers capable of manufacturing a double-axis tourbillon entirely in-house. The tourbillon completes a full rotation every minute on one axis, and every 30 seconds on the other. Having two speeds within the same mechanism creates a view that is both hypnotic and technical, with the tourbillon both skeletonised and suspended. It guarantees a power reserve of at least four days or 96 hours. In yet another first, the movement it powers is a bi-retrograde. These three variables (double-axis, bi-retrograde, four days of power) are typically never seen together as retrograde displays are energy-intensive, with bi-retrogrades even more. This is also the first time Hublot has designed a bi-retrograde movement for both hours and minutes.
Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Full Carbon
This new Big Bang unites a micro-rotor tourbillon manufactured in-house with an ultra-lightweight, robust carbon fibre and Texalium case and a seamlessly integrated strap. The 50-piece limited edition comprises two complications: the tourbillon and the micro-rotor – with a skeleton structure and a 3-day power reserve. The tourbillon is also skeletonised and suspended, integrated within a bottom plate dotted with transparent sapphire bridges. The strap is a featherweight 26 grams and is supremely comfortable. The HUB6035 Manufacture Calibre is inserted in a carbon fibre case that is 43 mm in diameter, with two major advantages: resistance and ultra-lightness. By using this construction, the watch head (case and calibre, without the strap) weighs just 42 grams. Hublot has covered the casing with Texalium, which provides impact resistance and is scratch-resistant.
Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Full Blue Sapphire
This latest edition of the Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon – a limited edition of only 10 timepieces – now sports a cool polished blue sapphire crystal case of 43 mm and houses the MHUB6035 manufacture automatic tourbillon movement that features a 22k white gold micro rotor and provides a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. Presented on an integrated bracelet of blue sapphire crystal, the timepiece is completed by a deployant buckle clasp in titanium.
Big Bang Integrated Time Only
Hublot has unveiled multiple editions of the Big Bang Integrated Time Only. All the new timepieces are cased in a 40 mm Integrated case and house the MHUB1710 self-winding movement. With a date aperture at 6 o’clock, these watches indicate only the hours, minutes, and seconds. While there are two editions in King Gold and Black Ceramic, Hublot is also offering them in Titanium Pavé and Titanium Jewellery, King Gold Pavé and King Gold Jewellery, Yellow Gold Pavé and Yellow Gold Jewellery versions – all of them completely diamond-set.
