The Rolling Stones tribute at Zenith
To celebrate its landmark 150th anniversary, Zenith has launched the El Primero Chronomaster 1969 timepiece that marks a historical tribute to the British rock legends, The Rolling Stones
From their first gig on the 12th of July, 1962, the Rolling Stones have come a long way in the music industry. Still popular than ever, the band has managed to excite hard-core fans with their latest 2015 Zip Code Tour that began on the 24th of May in San Diego, and ended on the 15th of July at the Quebec City Summer Festival (FEQ). In total the band visited 15 cities in North America.
In 2014, LVMH-owned Swiss watch brand, Zenith announced its much-anticipated partnership with The Rolling Stones and this year, the partnership is still going strong. In celebration, the brand has launched a 1000 piece limited edition tribute to the band– The El Primero Chronomaster 1969, which boasts a black titanium case that introduces a very dark, contemporary, rock-style look – perfect for die-hard rock fans.
Zenith aficionados will surely pick up on the two chronograph counters on the black dial, that sit alongside an opening which enables a sneak peek at the beating heart of the legendary El Primero movement. At 45mm wide, this bold timepiece pays tribute to the band’s heritage in the use of the embossed Union Jack motif on the rubber and calfskin strap and the Rolling Stones red lips and tongue logo on the sapphire crystal case-back.
