Celebrations and explorations at Omega House in Paris
Omega House was the Swiss brand’s exclusive home for the duration of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, at which Omega fulfilled the role of Official Timekeeper. Located at The Hôtel de Poulpry, Maison des Polytechniciens, just steps from the Musée d’Orsay, Omega House Paris celebrated Omega’s role as Official Timekeeper of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024
Taking a step beyond the realms of sport, during the “Paris By Night” celebration at Omega House, the venue hosted a colourful soiree in honour of this summer’s Olympic and Paralympic Games host city. Guests included the legendary French actress, Isabelle Huppert; the French rapper, SDM, who wrote and performed his own original music for Omega’s Paris 2024 advertising campaign; and the rapper Rim’K, who most recently performed at the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. Some of France’s finest acting talent was also in attendance, including Laetitia Dosch, Gina Jimenez, Damien Bonnard and Makita Samba.
From the Earth and far into space, Omega gathered some of the world’s most renowned explorers to celebrate the “Spirit of Pioneers” event at Omega House Paris. It was an inspiring occasion led by guests of honour including the astronauts, Jean-François Clervoy and Katya Echazarreta; ocean explorer Victor Vescovo; and the aerospace engineer Allan Petre. The event was a special opportunity to highlight the watchmaker’s passion for exploration, which has famously included a role in all six moon landings, north pole expeditions, and a World Record dive to the deepest place on Earth.
As the Olympic Games Paris 2024 reached its midway point, Omega was already looking ahead to the next summer edition, which will be hosted in Los Angeles in 2028. A Hollywood-style celebration “LA28” was held at Omega House Paris, attended by the world’s most decorated track and field athlete, Allyson Felix; Chairperson of LA28, Casey Wasserman; and the friends of the brand – Alisha Boe, Paul Wesley, Jesse Williams, and Chase Stokes. Other notable guests included the golfer and Omega ambassador Erik Van Rooyen; and the legendary Olympic Games diver, Greg Louganis.
To mark the final day of Omega’s exclusive home in Paris, the venue put on a memorable Closing Night event. Amongst the guests were friends of the brand including the Academy Award-winning star of “West Side Story”, Ariana DeBose; the New York Times Bestselling Author and food and wine expert of Queer Eye, Antoni Porowski; and the actor, producer, and singer Diego Boneta, star of Rock of Ages. Other notable guests from Omega’s ambassador family included several gold medallists from Paris 2024; with the sprinter Noah Lyles, the long jumper Jordan Diaz; the judoka Romane Dicko; and the swimmers Katie Grimes and Gregorio Paltrinieri. The actress, Karla Souza, also made an appearance on the night.
