Louis Erard X Kudoke’s limited series offers a minimalist design – hours, minutes, seconds – four models in which the iconic Louis Erard regulator-type display is revisited through Stefan Kudoke’s technical and aesthetic perspective angle. Beyond conventional, classic formulas, these editions feature unique twists, unmatched edge, infinite creative power, and an expertise that celebrates individuality
Louis Erard loves to create extraordinary models through original collaborations, timepieces defying conventions while respecting brand cultures. Stefan Kudoke is not only one of the best-known indie horologists, but also the first independent German master watchmaker to win the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2019.
In a nod to Stefan Kudoke’s infinity symbol, the collaborative lineup is packed with eight distinctive details of Kudoke’s “Handwork” dials. Four watches in a play on geometry highlighting the Regulator’s “three in-line hands” design through highly recognisable features – Frosted dial or mother-of-pearl dial; Blued steel hands; Infinity symbol-shaped hours hand; Rhodium-plated railway-track chapter ring and counter rings; Roman numerals and dots; Brushed Kudoke and Louis Erard nameplates; Iconic Kudoke colours; and Polished chamfered nameplates and rings.
Framed by a 42 mm polished stainless-steel case, the dial of the Le Régulateur Louis Erard X Kudoke features Kudoke’s distinctive watchface elements. The railway-track chapter ring, two counter rings as well as the “Louis Erard” and “Kudoke” nameplates are satin-finished and rhodium-plated. The 12 o’clock counter is adorned with a Clous de Paris hobnail pattern, a ring bearing Roman numerals counter and the iconic infinity-shaped hours hand, while all hands are in blued steel. The lower part of the dial has a grained finish for a frosted effect and comes in three different colours: purple (limited to 78), forest green (100), light blue (100); while the fourth variation is a collector alert with its white mother-of-pearl dial (78).
Stefan Kudoke embodies the spirit of rebellion in watchmaking, crafting singular mechanical artworks from his Saxony atelier. Known as the pioneering German indie, he was the first independent German master watchmaker to clinch a Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève award in 2019. Kudoke disrupts norms with bespoke creations. After starting at Glashütte Original and honing his skills in New York for renowned brands like Breguet and Blancpain, he launched Kudoke to craft custom timepieces merging artistic expression with technical excellence.
Louis Erard makes light of existing codes, creating watches challenging the very essence of time, boldly reinventing tradition. Since 1929, its independence is a perpetual strength, expressed through its now-iconic regulators and mechanical watches. Under Manuel Emch’s leadership, Louis Erard prioritises innovation over conformity and lasting excellence over fast growth. Its collaborations with artisans and visionaries – such as Alain Silberstein, Olivier Mosset and Sylvie Fleury – are blazing new trails in both art and watchmaking.
