Blancpain unveils flagship boutique in Hong Kong
Celebrity chefs, lion dances, Baselworld 2016 novelties and an on-site horological demo mark the launch of Blancpain’s flagship in the Pearl of the Orient
The oldest watch brand in the world, Blancpain, officially unveiled its flagship boutique located in the heart of Central. The much-anticipated event kicked off with a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony and a lion dance, followed by a get-together in the store for special guests and partners to garner a truly Blancpain experience.
Blancpain’s prestigious friends arrived in a Lamborghini Huracán to kick off the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The brand’s officials – Alain Delamuraz, VP & Head of Marketing; Marc Junod, VP & Head of Sales; and Jalil Elkouch-Bordier, VP Hong Kong & Macau – were on hand to welcome friends of the brand – internationally acclaimed Chef Joël Robuchon and Albert Wong, Director of Lamborghini Hong Kong, who represented the brand’s unique partnerships and celebrated the marque’s art-de-vivre. Guests had the opportunity to explore the store, discover Blancpain’s Basel 2016 novelties, and see a watchmaker demonstrate on-site.
The centrally located Queen’s Road Central boutique is 1,200 sq ft (110 m2) and evokes the traditional family home of a master watchmaker. The boutique also offers a lounge area and a library. A day of festive activities was followed by an exclusive VIP dinner at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Landmark. In true Blancpain style, Chef Robuchon personally signed aprons gifted to the guests. Exceptional timepieces of the brand were also on display.
