Chopard official timing partner of Austrian team for Peking-Paris Rally 2016

The sixth edition of the Peking to Paris Motor Challenge started from the Great Wall outside Beijing on June 12 and finished 36 days later at Place Vendome, Paris, on July 17. The Austrian team, Ingo Strolz and co-pilot and mechanic Werner Gassner, started as number 2 in Beijing. Both members, wearing a Mille Miglia GTS Chrono for the race, drove the oldest participating car, a 99 years old chain-driven “American La France Tourer Speedster”. Starting from China, they travelled through 11 countries ­– Mongolia, parts of Russia, Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy as well as Switzerland – to finally arrive in Paris.
