Audemars Piguet’s new campaign explores mystique of women

Audemars Piguet introduces a new set of colourful alligator and ostrich leather straps dedicated to its Millenary collection for women

The one thing that everybody agrees on is the fact that women are mysterious beings, with hidden depths and layers. This new set of straps for the Millenary collection from Audemars Piguet bestows a unique character to the watch and presents the possibility of opting for different looks, reflecting the multi-layered nature of the woman who wears it.

This large panel of refined colours exclusively available in Audemars Piguet boutiques gives the Millenary timepieces a new twist anda more personal touch, thanks to new sophisticated tones of straps, presented in countless original colours: beige, pink salmon, dark grey, dark chocolate, dark blue, pearl anthracite, pearl grey, pearl white, sparkle chocolate, light grey, violet, violet plum, warm red, pinky, honey and blue.

The brand’s new digital campaign not only not only echoes the changing lifestyles but also captures the character of the women who wear them. Audemars Piguet and Helena Christensen, famous Danish top model turned photographer, interpret the essence of the Millenary by portraying three women of striking original beauty, exceptional talent and independent spirits: Erika Linder, Soo Joo Park and Tasya Van Ree. Their multi-faceted personalities challenge expectations, showing unique strength of character combined with timeless femininity.

Launched in 2015 and inspired by contemporary culture, architecture and art, the Millenary for women exposes for the first time its different layers – all the way through to the beating heart of the watch – thanks to a hand-wound Manufacture movement built back to front.

Stylish and complex with a strong feminine identity, the Millenary collection picks up the thread running through the history of Audemars Piguet women’s watches, breaking the rules of convention while honouring the highest level of horological traditions.

Photographer Helena Christensen manages to create beautiful and captivating photos that evoke all senses and life emotions, whether real or fantasy. After a successful modelling career, she switched to photography. For Christensen, the photographer’s work of exploration is her greatest freedom.

Erika Linder caught the spotlight posing as a young Leonardo DiCaprio in her first-ever photo shoot; and androgyny has played a big part in Linder’s work before the camera, notably in the Tom Ford and the Lips & Boys campaign. In additions to editorial appearances in Vogue Italia, Self Service, ELLE, Marie Claire, and others, Linder has also starred in music videos for Katy Perry and Of Monsters and Men.

Born in 1986 in South Korea, Soo Joo Park started working as a graphic designer. Spotted by an agent, she then moved to NYC to try her luck as a model. She has worked with Max Mara, Tom Ford and Karl Lagerfeld and recently became the first Asian-American to land a contract with L’Oréal as global ambassador.

Tasya van Ree lives and works in Los Angeles as a photographer. Her pictures are infused with romanticism, darkness, intimacy, and a certain lyrical quality.
