The offerings of horology brand Franck Muller to its ladies’ clientele this year include four memorable watches that we reprise here.  The Cintrée Curvex is back in action as is the Vanguard Lady. While lady golfers have the Backswing to look forward to, the romantic gentleman has a choice of orchid colours to express his love

Cintrée Curvex 25th Anniversary
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the manufacture, Franck Muller has unveiled a special edition that pays tribute to its iconic shape, the Cintrée Curvex. Released in the early 90s, the Cintrée Curvex revolutionised the watchmaking trends with its tonneau shape.

The harmonious curves of the case are adorned with the iconic, slender, and distinctive relief numerals. The numerals are first engraved on the case and then covered with ceramic to finally be re-machined to let the numerals appear.

This new model, which is specially designed to celebrate this milestone, displays the brand signature appliqué numerals as well as the 25th anniversary logo of the brand on an enamel dial. Powered by an in-house movement, this special edition carries the story of Franck Muller through a very identifiable design.

Housing an automatic FM0800 caliber movement, with a diameter of 25.60 MM and a height of 3.60 MM, the watch boasts a power reserve of 42 hours and runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour, while displaying the hours and minutes.

While the movement is decorated with Côte de Genève, diamond polishing, and rhodium-plating, the dial is enamel with appliqué relief numerals.

The iconic Cintrée Curvex case, made of 18 carat gold with ceramic, with dimensions of 39.60 MM X 55.40 MM X 11.90 MM, is complemented by a hand-sewn alligator strap.

Backswing Lady
Designed to be worn on the golf course, the Backswing Lady brings fashion and technical functions to one timepiece. The curved body of its case with the distinctive numerals displayed on the dial will sit on the wrist of any lady golfer perfectly, while being easy to read.

Manufactured to obtain the realistic appearance of a golf ball, the case and dial have been designed with the aim of providing a sporty and stylish lady’s timepiece. As with its masculine version, the Backswing Lady also absorbs the vibrations of the shocks through the casing ring of its movement made with an insert in silicone.

Housing an automatic FM 2671 calibre movement, the watch displays the hours, minutes, and seconds, and is water resistant up to 30 M. While the movement is decorated with Côtes de Genève, circular graining, and rhodium plating, the watch boasts a power reserve of 40 hours. The watch is encased in 18 carat gold/ stainless steel, with dimensions of 32.00 MM X 42.30 MM X 9.90 MM.

A coloured rubber and leather strap adorned with a stamped golf ball pattern recall the coloured appliqué numerals of the dial. Animated by an automatic movement, the Backswing Lady offers all the attributes to be the perfect accessory on the green – strength, precision and lightness.

Vanguard Lady
The new generation of the Vanguard Lady is highly distinctive, offering technical attributes while affirming a striking and dressy style. The sun-stamped dial dressed with a diamond setting moon phase at 6 o’clock will catch the eye of its owner until the night of full moon.

Available in two editions, the elegant curves of the case set with diamonds harmoniously complement the shining moon phase, which is available paved in diamonds. The uniqueness of its new dial along with the emblematic Vanguard numerals emphasise this model’s ultra-feminine refinement.

Governed by an automatic FM 1000L6 calibre movement, offering the moonphase, hour, minutes, and second functions, the timepiece is water-resistant to 3 ATM. While the movement is decorated with Côtes de Genève, circular graining, and hand chamfering, the dial is sun-stamped and has appliqués numerals.

The case is of 18 carat gold or stainless steel decorated with diamonds, while the rubber and leather strap delicately extend the proportions of the case and provides the wrist with a very comfortable fit.

Flower Collection
While highlighting the signature symbols of the Long Island through the elegance of its architectural case and appliqué relief numerals, this new version displays a brand new dial. Drawing its inspiration from the refined world of blossoms, delicate, exotic, and graceful orchids are symbolic of love, luxury, and strength.

The shimmering mother-of-pearl dial is coloured to reflect the pink hues of the appliqué relief flowers on the dial. Orchids embody the myth of the ideal woman and are the perfect flowers to declare a secret love to the beloved. It is thought that gentlemen who wish to express a pure love prefer the white orchid, while the pink orchid conveys sensuality, and the red one expresses desire. Powered by a quartz movement, the watch displays the hours and minutes, and is water resistant to 3 ATM. While the movement is decorated with Côtes de Genève, circular graining, sun and bi-colour rhodium plating, the dial is of coloured mother-of-pearl with appliqué relief flowers.
