SIHH and Baselworld coordinate dates from 2020

From 2020, the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Geneva and Baselworld in Basel, the two major events in the watch industry, will synchronise their calendars. In 2020, the SIHH will be held April 26-29 in Geneva, followed immediately by Baselworld from April 30 to May 5 in Basel. The calendars have been synchronised until 2024. This is good news for the whole industry, as until now, the SIHH took place in January, while Baselworld was held in March. This meant that the watchmaking professionals, press, and clients would have to travel to Switzerland twice in the space of just a few weeks.
