A. Lange & Sohne’s founder receives award for courage and commitment

In recognition of his services to re-establishing Saxony’s watchmaking industry, the founder of Lange Uhren GmbH, Walter Lange, has been awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (First Class) by German President Joachim Gauck. The Minister-President of the Free State of Saxony, Stanislaw Tillich, presented him the award on the 25^th of November 2015 at Saxony’s State Chancellery in Dresden. Thanks to Walter Lange’s brave initiative and his forward-looking business strategy, A. Lange & Söhne has grown to becoming the largest employer in the town and a brand highly coveted by connoisseurs and collectors in more than 60 countries.
