Chopard along with partner Attar United revealed the Alpine Eagle KSA Edition during an exclusive event in Jeddah, KSA, which saw the attendance of region’s watch enthusiasts including special guest, Anish Bhatt, along with celebrities Yasir Al Saggaf, Housain Al-Moqahwi, Honayda Serafi and Lina Malaika
To honour its longstanding partnership with Attar United, Chopard is enriching the Alpine Eagle collection of sporty-chic timepieces with an exclusive model featuring a Vals Grey dial punctuated with applied green numerals and hour-markers. Produced in a 33-piece limited series and entirely crafted in Lucent Steel A223, Chopard’s signature high-strength, high-brightness steel, this distinctive model beats to the rhythm of Chopard’s 01.01-C chronometer-certified precision movement.
The dial of the new Alpine Eagle Large produced in an extremely limited series for Attar United, features the emblematic “Vals Grey” shade – evoking the silvery reflections of the quartzite slabs covering the roofs and walls of old Alpine houses – with green indications inspired by the colour of the Saudi national flag. An encounter between two cultures testifying to the ties between Chopard and Attar United.
On the textured dial, with its sunburst pattern evoking an eagle’s eye, the hours, minutes and seconds strike an elegant contrast with green hands and hour-markers, which reveal their Super-LumiNova Grade X1 coating at night.
The case and integrated bracelet of the watch are entirely made from Lucent Steel A223. Thanks to its anti-allergenic composition, this innovative metal boasts properties comparable to surgical steel, making it highly dermo-compatible. With a strength of 223 Vickers, this alloy is 50% more resistant to abrasion than conventional steels and has a unique hardness. Finally, the purity conferred by its superior homogeneous crystal structure enables it to reflect light in a unique way. In keeping with the ethical approach to which the Manufacture is committed, this Chopard-exclusive steel is made from 70% recycled material.
True to Karl-Friedrich Scheufele’s commitment to certified precision, the mechanical self-winding Chopard 01.01-C movement (with a 60-hour power reserve) beating at the heart of this Alpine Eagle watch – and visible through a transparent sapphire crystal case-back – is developed in Chopard’s watchmaking workshops and chronometer-certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute.
