Audemars Piguet revels in the success of its second Dubai Golf Invitational
Following the feat of its inaugural Golf Invitational event in Dubai, Audemars Piguet has once again hosted a successful second edition, which also paved the way for the launch of its new Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in Yellow Gold
Playing a gracious and perfect host for an exclusive and private golf invitational tournament, the Swiss Haute Horlogerie brand Audemars Piguet welcomed a dream team composed of eight of the brand’s world famous golf ambassadors together with selected watch collectors from around the world.
Held on the 23rd of November 2015 at The Els Club in Dubai, the Dubai Golf Invitational, where Audemars Piguet was also the Official Timekeeper, saw a spirit of friendly rivalry develop among the guests who were captained by the Audemars Piguet ambassadors including Darren Clarke, Victor Dubuisson, Ian Poulter, Henrik Stenson, Peter Uihlein, Lee Westwood, Bernd Wiesberger and Danny Willett.
François-Henry Bennahmias, CEO of Audemars Piguet, mentioned that the second Golf Invitational in Dubai is part of the brand’s international series of private events. He also said that the parallelism between golfing and watchmaking are clear: Both are arts of precision and require dedication and a relentless drive for pushing boundaries. Within each golfer beats the heart of a watchmaker, with self-control, meticulous time management and a shared love of perfection – and of course performance.
During the event, the Manufacture presented its new Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in Yellow Gold, shown for the first time in Dubai prior to its official launch at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) this coming January.
