Carl F. Bucherer marks its 10th Anniversary

With independent workshops in Ste-Croix, Switzerland, Carl F. Bucherer conceives, develops and produces cutting-edge Manufacture calibres for its premium timepieces. 2015 marked the tenth anniversary of the brand’s iconic Patravi TravelTec, and the milestone was commemorated at this year’s Baselworld with the introduction of a powerful new addition to this family. A number of other impressive Carl F. Bucherer novelties were also presented in the Patravi, Manero and Pathos lines.
Patravi TravelTec II
This exceptional new timepiece incredibly boasts three time zone displays and a chronograph in an impeccably resilient and compact 47.4 mm-diameter stainless steel case. The intricacy of the sophisticated automatic calibre CFB 1901.1, which was expertly developed in-house, can be admired through the side-mounted sapphire glass window. Readability on this complicated timepiece was a key focus, evident in the detailed, neatly-organised, and ample-sized face of the Patravi TravelTec II. Rapid, user-friendly switching between East and West travel directions is enabled by the Monopusher, while the date display can uniquely move both forward and backward when changing the hour setting. A time zone sun adornment on the case back and the option of a leather strap or stainless steel bracelet, complete this unparalleled creation.
Patravi ScubaTec Rose Gold
The successful diver’s watch has been reproduced with a gleaming pure rose gold case. Accenting the case are black and blue ceramic inlays on the unidirectional rotating bezel, framing a striking black dial with scale-like texture. The latest Patravi ScubaTec is equipped with a helium valve, luminescent hands and indices, an extremely precise automatic movement and a rugged rubber strap with integrated adjustment. The titanium case back of this certified chronometer features a dedication to the Manta Trust. There are six variationsof this timepiece, including stainless steel with a blue dial and a rubber strap or stainless steel bracelet, stainless steel with a black dial and a rubber strap or stainless steel bracelet, and stainless steel and 18K rose gold with a rubber strap or 18K rose gold bracelet.
Carl F. Bucherer supports Manta Trust
Targeting the protection of the glorious patron of the sea, the manta ray, Manta Trust is a non-profit organisation that facilitates research into achieving this cause. Carl F. Bucherer has become a proud sponsor of the Manta Trust objective by becoming the patron of the two manta rays “ScubaTec” and “TravelTec,” which were tagged as part of a research project to gain insights into these wonderful endangered creatures, through the attachment of satellite transmitters, in order ensure their long-term protection. Pathos Rose Gold
Carl F. Bucherer’s tribute to the versatility of women, in the form of the Pathos Diva and Pathos Queen, is now presented in elegant pure 18-karat rose gold. The precious metal emphasises the distinguishing aureole design, which is a unique characteristic of the Pathos collection. Artfully integrated into the case, the filigree halo of the aureole reflects the light in a myriad of mesmerising facets. Pathos aureole comes in two different versions, with a wave design or filigree grid, with arresting dial options of scintillating mother-of-pearl or with delicate ornamentation on pure white. Further asserting the diversity of this model, the case shines in clear rose gold or with diamonds. It is completed with an exceptional bracelet made of finely crafted pure rose gold elements.
Manero Tourbillon
The Limited Edition 2015 model of this widely-lauded timepiece captivates with its satin-brushed dial imbued with an exquisite velvety-brown hue. As with its predecessors, the contemporary version is powered by a Carl F. Bucherer manufacture movement, the CFB T1001,inclusive of a Tourbillon, an impressive horological feat. A circular cutout in the dial at 6 o’clock offers a view onto the fascinating moving heart of the Tourbillon. Date, power reserve and 24-hour display indications are all clearly exhibited on the magnificent and distinctive dial, which is framed by a fine rose gold case and complemented by a superb brown alligator leather strap. Two variations are available, including the Manero Tourbillon with a black dial and one with a silver dial.
Manero ChronoPerpetual OnlyWatch 2015
Held every two years, the “Only Watch” auction stands to benefit the Monaco Association Against Muscular Dystrophy, and sees the industry’s most illustrious brands participate in the global roadshow, which concludes with the final auction, to be held this year in Geneva during November. Carl F. Bucherer has made a one-of-a-kind watch for the occasion: the Manero ChronoPerpetual Only Watch 2015. Boasting a “grand complication” perpetual calendar, the Manero ChronoPerpetual is able to display the date, day, month, year and moon phase without needing correction. In this unique masterpiece, the perpetual calendar is additionally paired with a complete chronograph. The case is specially crafted from pure white gold, and its exclusivity and significance is commemorated with engravings on the black dial and case back.
