April was the best of months for Tiffany & Co. as the luxury maison celebrated numerous milestones including the reopening of their iconic flagship boutique on 57th Street and Fifth Avenue in New York. The marque also unveiled two unique and two limited edition timepieces to mark the opening. We bring you a peek at the celebrations and also the brand’s opening of its new flagship store in The Dubai Mall
The Landmark
Tiffany & Co. opened the doors of its iconic flagship boutique in New York again in April 2023. The newly transformed flagship on 57th Street and Fifth Avenue, now known as “The Landmark,” reintroduces the world to a new Tiffany & Co. Custom artwork, never-before-seen jewels and immersive displays define the new Landmark, which is also one of the largest stores in Manhattan.
The Landmark marks the luxury retail institution’s first holistic renovation of the store since it first opened its doors in 1940. Opposing forces define the transformation: old and new; past and future; hidden and revealed treasures. Paying homage to the building’s iconic original structure, the beloved façade with its Atlas statue and clock above the revolving doors was refurbished to honour its original design, while the interiors have been completely reimagined into a new world of wonders.
Two major forces were integral to the store’s transformation. Legendary architect Peter Marino reimagined the interior architecture and OMA New York, led by the renowned Shohei Shigematsu, spearheaded the renovation of the building’s core and circulation infrastructure as well as the addition of the new three-storey volume above the existing building. The OMA/Shohei Shigematsu-led rooftop addition, replacing the office space added in 1980, features two distinct yet connected forms that make up the unified volume.
Upon entering the new store, clients are immediately immersed in an expansive main floor of jewellery cases illuminated by an innovative take on a skylight. The ceiling installation spans nearly the room’s length and is composed of an abstraction of facets. Its unique design is a tribute to Tiffany’s heritage and authority as the purveyor of the world’s finest diamonds. Integrated throughout the Landmark’s 10 floors are nearly 40 artworks, including never-before-seen Tiffany-commissioned pieces. The curation features works by renowned artists including Damien Hirst, Julian Schnabel, Rashid Johnson, Anna Weyant and Daniel Arsham.
On the ground floor visitors are immersed in iconic New York City scenery through video walls that project sweeping views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline when turned on and serve as mirrors when turned off. Wood parquet flooring throughout the building harkens back to the original 1940’s design, echoing the original pattern from our store interior. A new Tiffany & Co. clock, inspired by the original Atlas statue and clock, also sits on the ground level.
The heart of the store features a sculptural spiral staircase with undulating transparent balustrades adorned with rock crystal, inspired by, and reflecting the sensual and organic designs of Elsa Peretti. The staircase connects floors 3 through 8, while elevators allow access to every floor.
The Blue Box Cafe by Daniel Boulud offers a unique take on Tiffany’s coveted dining experience. New York’s Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud brings a seasonally inspired daytime menu, including breakfast and tea. The redesigned space now includes a private dining area and bar with art installations, while dedicated museum and exhibition spaces on floors 8 and 9 will offer a rotation of compelling concepts and unique storytelling experiences.
To commemorate the reopening of the store, Tiffany & Co. is also set to debut a range of exclusive designs and one-of-a-kind creations. This offering will include everything from extraordinary diamond watches and limited-edition home objects to eyewear inspired by the Tiffany Setting engagement ring. The Landmark is now home to the largest collection of Tiffany High Jewellery in the world with perhaps the biggest wonder of them all— a new design for the legendary 128.54-carat Tiffany Diamond.
The Landmark reopens with a significant investment in leading environmental, health and wellbeing initiatives and was built to operate sustainably for years to come. The Landmark store is on track to achieve WELL Platinum certification and LEED Gold certification.
Unique watches
Tiffany & Co. is offering two exclusive high jewellery timepieces from the Tiffany 57 watch collection that are debuting in tandem with the grand reopening of its iconic Fifth Avenue Landmark store. One style features diamonds and the second features both diamonds and sapphires. The Tiffany 57 watch collection honours Tiffany’s New York City heritage. The designs are inspired by a pocket watch from The Tiffany Archives, as well as the circular shape of Washington Square Park. The dome-shaped case is engraved with lines at each hour, lending to a modern Art Deco aesthetic.
The unique pieces are the most exceptional designs from the Tiffany 57 collection. Each 18k white gold Tiffany 57 watch was handcrafted in Switzerland over a span of 300 hours (totalling 600 hours of artisanship). The diamond and sapphire Tiffany 57 watch is set with over 23 total carats of mixed-cut diamonds and over 4 total carats of sapphires, while the all-diamond Tiffany 57 watch is set with over 27 total carats of mixed-cut diamonds. Each Tiffany 57 Unique Piece watch features a bracelet that continues the Art Deco theme, comprised of a geometric display of custom-cut hexagonal diamonds.
Union Square – Two Limited Editions
Tiffany & Co. has unveiled two new limited-edition timepieces to celebrate the newly transformed Fifth Avenue Landmark. Each limited-edition Union Square watch – named after the location of the House’s former flagship store in downtown Manhattan – features design cues that reference the jeweller’s New York City heritage. The watch pays homage to the Union Square store and symbolises the evolution of Tiffany’s world-renowned flagship.
Handcrafted by Tiffany & Co. artisans in Switzerland, each 27-mm Union Square watch draws its square shape from an archival Tiffany & Co. watch and features iconic New York City design elements. Introduced to celebrate the newly transformed Fifth Avenue Landmark, there are only 100 units of each limited-edition timepiece available, totalling 200 watches. The watch features skyscraper hands and the numerals “7–2–7” in place of “7–6–5” on the dial, a reference to the Tiffany & Co. Landmark store, located at 727 Fifth Avenue. Moreover, an interpretation of the Landmark store is featured under the sapphire crystal caseback, while a T-shaped buckle offers an aesthetic that is uniquely Tiffany & Co.
The 18k rose gold all-metal Union Square watch is featured on a brown alligator strap with a turquoise composite Tiffany Blue crown. The 18k rose gold Union Square watch on a black alligator strap features a scintillating display of pavé diamonds of over 2 total carats. An artisan set a total of 425 diamonds of varying sizes on the dial, 296 diamonds of varying sizes on the case and 79 diamonds on the buckle. The dial and case feature an innovative snow setting, whereby the diamonds are placed closely together to minimise the appearance of metal.

Dubai flagship store with diamond-inspired façade debuts
Tiffany & Co. announced the opening of its new flagship store in The Dubai Mall. The 401 sqm space is located on the first floor of The Dubai Mall’s grand atrium and features Tiffany & Co.’s latest design concept and a bespoke façade.
The façade is inspired by Tiffany’s diamond authority and the House’s legacy of sourcing the world’s most beautiful diamonds, transforming them into exquisite jewellery creations. Conceptualised by architectural firm SANAA, the façade’s transparent glass blocks, suspended at an angle and pierced through a mirror surface, create a three-dimensional prism effect that sparkles with light as viewers move past it. The mirror finish of the façade is reminiscent of the reflective façades of New York City’s skyscrapers, referencing the American jeweller’s heritage.
The store reveals the brand’s latest design concept with soaring ceilings, grand arches, marble walls, iridescent plaster, gilded wood, and contemporary artwork. Interior finishes and architectural elements draw inspiration from archival Tiffany & Co. motifs, as well as the rich history of design and pattern of the region. These elements are reimagined in modern interpretations of hand-cast glass doors, mosaic stone niches, intricate metal screens, custom fabrics, and plush geometric and floral-patterned rugs. A large-scale artwork by Rashid Johnson is featured inside the store.
The jeweller’s iconic Tiffany Blue appears in delicate touches throughout the store, while bespoke cases in selenite, woven metal mesh, mother-of-pearl, and polished champagne and nickel metal hues highlight an array of signature Tiffany & Co. designs, including pieces from the new Lock collection, Tiffany T, Tiffany HardWear, Tiffany Home, Elsa Peretti, Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger and more.
A Tiffany & Co. store would not be complete without a salon dedicated to its assortment of iconic engagement rings. The All About Love salon features a pale blue bespoke diamond vitrine suspended on a glass wall. The diamond-inspired vitrine embodies the House’s modern and refined aesthetic, inviting visitors to experience the world of Tiffany & Co. A brilliant Lobmeyr chandelier suspends overhead, further enhancing the sparkle of this coveted collection.
The store also features two large exclusive sales salons where clients can comfortably meet for a private appointment with their preferred Client Advisor. These rooms are adorned with champagne gold cerused wood walls, large-scale artwork by Damien Hirst, pale pink silk drapery and antique mirror ceilings which hold two bespoke glass chandeliers. The Tiffany Dubai flagship store opened its doors to visitors in late April. A Tiffany & Co. café will open later this year.
