Chopard debuts diamond-studded high jewellery watch

In its newest L’Heure du Diamant timepiece, Chopard skilfully captures the beauty of diamonds. The stunning high jewellery watch features a mother-of-pearl guilloché centre, surrounded by a pave-set diamonds. A halo of brilliant-cut diamonds completes the sparkling timepiece while a briolette-cut diamond tops the crown

Embodying technical prowess and daring avant-garde design, the L’Heure du Diamant collection has stood the test of time. From its creation in 1969 to the current model, it has retained its true core: a pioneering modernity that has become timeless.

From the first creation designed in 1969 by Karl Scheufele – as a token of his love for his wife Karin – to the latest addition to the collection, L’Heure du Diamant has spanned the decades, always well ahead of its time and vividly testifying to Chopard’s dual watchmaking and jewellery expertise.

Acknowledged masters in the realm of luxury jewellery watches, the artisans of the Maison have orchestrated a meeting between contemporary design and the queen of precious stones. The 40 mm precious timepiece houses a hand-wound mechanical movement that beats at 21,600 vph. At the heart of the dial is the finely guilloché centre of shimmering mother-of-pearl, surrounded by pave-set diamonds, studded with roman numerals and hour markers.

The bezel is set with 26 round brilliant-cut diamonds of 5.58 cts (F-G/VVS) and 16 round brilliant-cut diamonds of 1.36 cts (F-G/IF), while a 1 briolette cut diamond of 0.04 cts is set on the crown. Nine round brilliant-cut diamonds of 0.15 cts (F-G/IF) adorn the gold pin buckle of this sumptuous timepiece. The watch is water-resistant up to 30 meters.
