Chronoswiss enters Kuwait with Morad Yousuf Behbehani
Independent Swiss watchmaker Chronoswiss has now entered the Kuwaiti horological scene with its partnership with Morad Yousuf Behbehani – beginning with a high-end event at the Behbehani Luxury Boutique
Chronoswiss and Morad Yousuf Behbehani jointly hosted an exclusive gathering of Kuwaiti haute horlogerie afficionados where guests were treated to a private viewing of high complications created by Chronoswiss, followed by a gourmet dinner at the Behbehani Luxury Boutique in Al Hamra Luxury Centre on November 1, 2022.
Oliver Ebstein – Owner and Director of Chronoswiss, was accompanied by senior members of his team, while Abdulmehsen Behbehani – Director, as well as other top executives represented the Morad Yousuf Behbehani group.
Ebstein welcomed the partnership with the Behbehani team, which he described as a relationship between two family-owned companies that share similar values, strategies, and passion for high watchmaking.
The Behbehani Luxury Boutique began as the first company in Kuwait to import Swiss watches in the 1930s. This facilitated the Kuwaiti fascination with high watchmaking, with Ebstein commenting that he is extremely impressed by the in-depth knowledge of haute horlogerie exhibited by the connoisseurs in Kuwait.
Their understanding and willingness to learn more of watchmaking techniques and their appreciation for the handcrafted finishings meant that Chronoswiss’ expertise in guilloche and enamelling work was immediately understood and appreciated by Kuwaiti collectors.
