Dior adds dazzlers to Rose des Vents collection
The compass rose engraved on the floor of the Dior family home in Granville was the inspiration for the Rose des Vents collection by Victoire de Castellane. It is from this that de Castellane has created a mélange of dazzling creations, with it as a recurrent theme in her ornamental work, with jewels as numerous points of reassuring reference
Available in nearly endless variations, the compass rose star motif appears on rings, pendants, bracelets, and sautoirs as a continual play on the family’s history. In her latest collection, de Castellane reinterprets Monsieur Dior’s lucky star in the form of a wind rose – an eight-pointed star. A twist of grains encircles the medallions, which switch between fully diamond-set circles and wind roses set with a central diamond.
The new additions to the Rose des Vents collection are a long necklace, a long bracelet, and a pair of long earrings set with pink gold, diamonds, and mother-of-pearl. A necklace, bracelet and a pair of earrings set with white gold, diamonds and mother-of-pearl also enhance the collection.
