Dubai Watch Week’s second edition: Theme and venues
Dubai Watch Week, the only event dedicated to horology in the region, will take place in two locations this year: Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and The Dubai Mall
The event, running across several exhibitions, workshops, forums, watchmaking master classes and exclusive VIP events in both venues, will have “Masters of Time” as its theme.
The programmes held at DIFC will take place from November 15 to 19, 2016, and will showcase an expanded itinerary that highlights different educational aspects of the world of horology. The panels at the horology forum will offer a unique insight into the world’s most illustrious watch personalities, where they will share their expertise and knowledge with the general public.
Back by popular demand, watchmaking classes held by prominent watchmakers and luxury brands will offer an interactive opportunity to handle movements while the comprehensive Horological Movements exhibition explains the different classification of movements presented by the brands.
Visitors interested in learning more about cultural elements outside the watchmaking world will be able to explore a creative world of ideas and presentations at the Creative Hub from November 16 to 19.
Other exhibitions at the DIFC include an exhibition of watches that won the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève; the Watch Forum from November 16 to 19; and Watchmaking Master Classes from November 16 to 19.
The Dubai Mall will host three massive programmes: the HH Academy & Certification, Masters of Time exhibition, and Life of a Swiss Cuckoo Clock exhibition from mid-November to early December 2016.
