Glashütte Original unveils remodelled boutique in Dubai
The official inauguration of the refurbished Glashütte Original Boutique in Dubai, along with the launch of two new Senator Excellence models, took place in November
The boutique, located in the luxurious Dubai Mall, is the German watchmaker’s largest retail venue in the Middle East. The press event included individual workshops for the journalists, providing in-depth insight into the concepts, design and construction of the new Senator Excellence models by the brand’s watchmaking experts.
Dark wood and light-coloured leather create a modern interior and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere in the boutique. A “Wonder Wall” uses state-of-the-art media to present the traditional mechanics that dictate the rhythms of the marque’s sophisticated timepieces. The mechanical heart takes the form of a stylised watch movement in the impressive ceiling decoration, while numerous showcases present the current range of products.
Two new Senator Excellence models – the Panorama Date and the Senator Excellence Panorama Date Moon Phase – were presented for the first time in the country at the event.
The timepieces in 40 MM red gold or stainless steel cases combine the benefits of the new manufactory Calibre 36 with two classic complications from Glashütte Original: the Panorama Date and the Moon Phase. The new 4Hz, single barrel Calibre 36 movement, in addition to its extreme precision and optimal stability, has a running time of more than 100 hours – all confirmed in a 24-day cycle of tests performed on each model, with the results for each watch made available to its owner.
