H. Moser & Cie leaps forward to watchmaking future

On the 22^nd of September, 2015, H. Moser & Cie. marked a milestone in the watchmaking industry as the first Manufacture to carry out tests in weightlessness and hyper-gravity on its movements and escapements during the first Swiss parabolic flight. With the assistance of its sister company, Precision Engineering AG, Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., oversaw an amplitude test on escapements including an original Straumann Double Hairspring®, a paramagnetic hairspring and variants of hairsprings with a Breguet overcoil. Other movements included in the flight were measured for analysis after the flight, and a set of movements tested for stability would equip a new series from H. Moser & Cie.
