Harry Winston conveys a message of safeguarding love in its Valentine’s Day edition

The Premier Valentine’s Day Automatic 36mm from Harry Winston features a large heart-shaped ruby at noon – exquisitely hand-cut and secured to the dial with gold prongs. It is shielded by rose gold brambles with thorns, symbolising the importance of protecting loved ones. Eleven heart-cut diamond hour markers, set in gold, increase in size as they reach the ruby heart. The 44 brilliant-cut diamonds encircling the centre are secured with an intricate grain setting and miniature gold claws that produce a smooth, sparkling ring of light. The flurry of 34 brilliant-cut rubies scattered like rose petals in the centre of the dial relies on a grain setting. Held in place by a gold lip, only the crown of the gemstone is exposed. Powered by a superior Swiss-made mechanical automatic movement with a 68-hour power reserve, the watch is a limited edition of only 14 pieces.
