Hublot and Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons celebrate the UAE’S Golden Jubilee by launching a new embodiment of the Art of Fusion: the Classic Fusion Chronograph Concrete Sand

As the UAE contemplates its significant journey over the past 50 years and begins preparing for the next 50, Swiss luxury watch Manufacture Hublot praised the country for its remarkable achievements and reaffirmed their shared values: linking tradition and innovation, bringing the past to the future.

To honour that, Hublot and its UAE partner Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons launched a special edition that is a perfect representation of the nation’s creativity and ingenuity.

David Tedeschi – Regional Director for Hublot Latin America & Caribbean and Middle East & Africa – said that the Classic Fusion Chronograph Concrete Sand sets a mark in history, and symbolises a fusion of time, culture and development through its combination of materials.

Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi – Chief Commercial Officer of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons – said that they were honoured to present with Hublot this very special watch dedicated to the UAE Golden Jubilee. This year marks an important milestone for the UAE, and they were proud to commemorate it with this outstanding edition that pays homage to the country.

Hublot, like the UAE, is constantly first and different in what it imagines and produces. Bringing historic materials – sand and camel leather – and an essential material of the city – concrete – to the watch is a way to highlight the county’s inspirational urban development and progressive vision, without ignoring its history and culture.

Designed and produced at the Hublot Manufacture in Switzerland, the Classic Fusion Chronograph Concrete Sand is housed in a 45mm case with a matching bezel, both cut out of fine concrete, with minute detailing evoking UAE cities’ edges and structure. As an industrial material, concrete is noteworthy for its strength and endurance. The timepiece houses the Hublot HUB1143 Self-winding Chronograph movement, and boasts a power reserve of 42 hours.

A testament to the country’s vast deserts, the dial features actual sand from the UAE, making each piece unique. The straps are made of high-quality camel leather and complement the watch’s captivating colour scheme.

This homage to the history of the UAE and the innovative spirit of the luxury Swiss watchmaker is limited to 100 pieces.
