Hublot and partner Al Majed Group celebrated the official opening of the new Hublot Doha Vendôme Mall Boutique with a ribbon cutting ceremony on December 15, 2022, where aficionados had the opportunity to discover two special Qatar edition timepieces – the Big Bang e Qatar Edition and the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Orlinski Qatar
To mark this new milestone for the Maison, Ricardo Guadalupe – Hublot CEO; David Tedeschi – Regional Director for Latin America & Caribbean and Middle East & Africa; and Jamil Al Majed – Vice Chairman Al Majed Jewellery – were joined by esteemed members of Al Majed family, clients, celebrities, friends and media members. Following the ceremony, guests discovered the warm ambiance of the new boutique infused with the maison’s identity and its cherished “Art of Fusion” that reflects the Swiss watchmaker’s mastery in fusing the traditional and the modern.
Big Bang e Qatar Edition
Hublot prides itself for its exclusive special edition watches launched as an homage to cities and countries. This year, the luxury Swiss watchmaker is presenting a limited edition of 100 connected watches dedicated to Qatar: the Big Bang e Qatar Edition.
The Big Bang e Qatar Edition is a watch designed for style-conscious people who lead active lives. Equipped with the latest technological developments available for wearable technology, the Big Bang e Qatar is a connected watch that adopts all the iconic Big Bang codes. It is an incarnation of the brand’s Art of Fusion ethos: a fusion between tradition and innovation, cutting edge materials and the latest digital technology.
The Big Bang e Qatar is a captivating blend of fine watchmaking techniques and high-end electronics. The imposing, exquisitely engineered 44mm case in micro-blasted and polished beige ceramic and black titanium carries clear echoes of Hublot’s mechanical watch icon, the Big Bang. But in place of state-of-the-art watchmaking mechanics is a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor powered with the latest version of Wear OS by Google (Wear OS 3).
The watch’s impressive hardware specification includes an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a microphone, a speaker, GPS and a heart-rate monitor. To leverage these sensors, this watch comes pre-programmed with the Strava app, the leading platform for athletes and the largest sports community in the world with over 100 million athletes in 195 countries. Strava gives athletes the ability to record and analyse performance across more than 30 different sport types including running, cycling, swimming, and most recently, soccer.
Bluetooth 5.0 will connect it to a wide range of devices and accessories. It also comes with a full suite of preloaded apps that enable wearers to stay connected and to track activity, health and more. Wearers can discover more great apps with Google Play on their watches.
The smartwatch comes with the promise of all-day battery life and a two-hour charge to full from empty. After five seconds of inactivity, the watch automatically switches into “low consumption mode” to save battery. This legible, ergonomic, gloriously interactive functionality is unique to the watch.
Strap options include a black lined rubber strap and a beige fabric with velcro strap, and straps can be changed easily with the Hublot patented “one click” system. The watch is Android- and iOS-compatible and water-resistant to 3 ATM. iOS features and compatibility varies based on device.
Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Orlinski Qatar
Hublot is treating the Qatari Hublotistas with another exclusive timepiece. Hublot and partner Al Majed Group revealed the latest special-edition watch dedicated to Qatar: the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Orlinski Qatar.
In a special nod to art lovers, the Swiss luxury watchmaker is delighted to launch one of its most sought-after timepieces in the market, one that is inspired by the work of renowned contemporary French artist Richard Orlinski.
Since the start of their collaboration in 2017, Hublot and Richard Orlinski have given life to a collection of watches displaying the angular signature of the French artist’s creations. Orlinski’s work focuses on sharp three-dimensional structures that are easily adapted to Hublot’s watches, and this Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Qatar is the latest addition to the successful collaboration.
The case itself is faceted like a gem, with multiple polished planes and sculpted lines. For this limited edition of 50 pieces, the 45-mm diameter case is tinted in beige, reminiscent of the stark beauty of Qatar’s desert sand dunes.
Its 45-mm case and its bezel in beige ceramic contrast with a black smooth rubber bracelet. Beneath the sapphire, the mechanics of the HUB1155 self-winding chronograph movement and its 42-hour power reserve mark the time. An additional strap in beige alligator is available to upscale the style of its wearer.
Richard Orlinski
His monumental three-dimensional sculptures cover an entire bestiary inhabiting the world. With Hublot, he transposes his distinctive artistic signature onto wearable Art. For seven years, Richard Orlinski, the bestselling contemporary French artist in the world, has shone at the heart of the Hublot family alongside Maxime Plescia-Buchi, Pelé, Lang Lang, Usain Bolt and Dustin Johnson.
