Jacob & Co. celebrates 30th anniversary at Cannes
Jacob & Co., the Manhattan-based haute horlogerie and haute joaillerie brand, celebrated its 30th anniversary with a gala dinner at the Cannes Film Festival
The gala dinner was held in association with Arije, the prestigious boutiques reference for watch lovers. An array of celebrities, VIPs and socialites attended the very exclusive dinner, which marked the first presence of the world-renowned watch and jewellery brand at the Cannes Film Festival.
The gala evening was held in one of the iconic beaches of Cannes, where elegantly dressed A-listers partied the night away. Distinguished guests included the fabulous French actress Emmanuelle Beart and Swiss Beatz.
Jacob & Co. has many creative timepieces to its credit. Inspired by the jet-set lifestyle of many of its clients, the maison unveiled the "Five Time Zone Watch," which features four fixed time zones – New York, LA, Tokyo and Paris – with the fifth dial set to the location of the wearer. Other notable watches include the "Quenttin," the first-ever watch with a 31-day power reserve, seven mainspring barrels, and a vertical, side mounted tourbillon; and the Ghost Watch, a digital watch that features a pentagram shape and can display up to 20 time zones.
Recently, at the BaselWorld 2016, Jacob & Co. debuted its Astronomia Sky Tourbillon, a watch with a three-dimensional sidereal display.
