Astronomia Toubillon – Triple Axis Tourbillon
The Astronomia Baguette is an awe-inspiring masterpiece that marks a new height in the world of innovating watchmaking. The spectacular timepiece is similar to an observatory, which captures the vastness and constant motion of the cosmos; displaying the magic underneath a convex sapphire crystal dome. The functions of the watch are set against an icy backdrop composed of 342 invisibly set white baguette diamonds that are housed in a 50mm case. Energised by a three-dimensional calibre JCEM01, the watch displays a hypnotic choreography of multi-axial revolutions, where the exclusive orbital display conducts its full cycle around the dial every 20 minutes. Four individual satellites complete their spellbinding journeys around the dial; the first and second satellites are the titanium hand-painted Earth, which faces the Astronomia Baguette’s Moon that is composed of a magnificent Jacob Cut 288-facet spherical diamond that reflects rays of light. The third satellite is the hand-wound calibre’s tourbillon that achieves an astounding effect of weightlessness thanks to its three axes of rotation within the architecture and sits opposite the fourth arm of the dynamic module that boasts an ingenious hours and minutes display.
