Lewis Hamilton’s IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph generates CHF 220,000 for charity

At the Laureus Charity Night in Zurich, IWC Schaffhausen auctioned off Lewis Hamilton’s Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team. The timepiece was offered alongside a pair of signed racing gloves worn by Hamilton during the race, generating a winning bid of CHF 220,000, which will benefit the Laureus Foundation Switzerland. The watch was worn by Lewis Hamilton on the podium during his ninth victory at this year’s British Grand Prix – his home race. IWC Schaffhausen, Laureus Sport for Good, and Bonhams also collaborated on a unique global online auction – all proceeds of which will go to the Foundation to support its programmes aimed at improving the lives of children and young people through sport.
