Maurice Lacroix displays the Power of Love
Since 1975, Maurice Lacroix has been at the forefront of horological creativity, embracing new technologies, illustrating time using thought-provoking design and harnessing fine Swiss craftsmanship. During its lifetime the brand has shown a remarkable ability to innovate and explore new technologies which is depicted in its 2015 creations
Its latest offering to the horology industry is The Masterpiece Gravity 40th Limited Edition, which ingeniously integrates several cutting-edge technologies, such as POWERLITE®; an incredibly robust, durable and light material. Other innovative timepieces are the Masterpiece Power of Love, the Fiaba editions, the Les Classique editions and the Eliros editions.
Masterpiece Gravity
When the Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Gravity was first launched at Baselworld 2014, it was the first timepiece to feature a fully silicium assortment, resulting in the entire stock selling out. This year the brand has unveiled the new Masterpiece Gravity featuring a stunning blue lacquered dial, produced to celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary. The watch incorporates a manufacture movement, a silicium assortment, an off-centre hour and minutes display, striking use of colour, all stylishly presented in an eye-catching POWERLITE ® case. The new Masterpiece Gravity 40th is accompanied by two further limited editions, delivered in a choice of classical and contemporary models, each limited to 250 pieces.
N° 4 Masterpiece Power of Love
Limited to 88 pieces, the Masterpiece Power of Love is an ingenious feminine timepiece, offering an alternative means of depicting time that is illustrated on a soft romantic dial. The projecting focal feature on the white lacquered dial is the three interconnecting heart shaped plates that rotate 360 degrees to form the word ‘LOVE’ in bold red text once every 60 seconds. The rhodium plated hour and minute hands point to circular diamond indexes that are fused along the minute track, ticking past the power reserve indicator that is located at 3 o’clock. Presented in a polished stainless steel case, measuring 43mm in diameter, the Masterpiece Power of Love boasts 72 VS diamonds encrusted onto the bezel and is completed with either a red or white alligator strap.
Fiaba
The new Fiaba celebrates the beauty of the circular form with an attractive round case and is available in two case sizes, 28mm and 32mm. Designed for ladies who appreciate grace and glamour, the Fiaba timepiece is available in a choice of stainless steel or gold plated case options accompanied with a matching metal bracelet. Hovering above the beautiful mother-of-pearl dial are blued leaf-shaped hands on the stainless steel case and gold plated hands on the matching case, that journey around the circumference of the dial, on which features a circular aperture that displays the date at 3 o’clock. Diamond hour markers appear on the stainless steel versions, whereas the gold plated versions illustrate black Roman numerals in place of the glistening round diamonds.
Les Classiques
Maurice Lacroix has released three new models to expand the Les Classiques family; The Les Classiques Chrononographe – which comes in a 41mm stainless steel case in two dial variants of silver or black gold. Powered by an automatic ML112 movement, the watch showcases several functions; the hours and minutes that are indicated by central hands, the Chronograph seconds that is indicated by a central hand, small seconds at 9 o’clock, a 30 minute chronograph counter at 12 o’clock, a 12 hour chronograph counter at 6 o’clock and finally a date aperture at 3 o’clock.
The second release is the Les Classiques Chronographe Phases De Lune Ladies that comes in a 38mm stainless steel case in a choice of three variants: a white lacquered dial, a sun-brushed silver dial and, lastly, a sun-brushed anthracite dial. Along with the chronograph counters, this watch delivers a contrasting trait to its character with a Moonphase indication, where the lunar cycle lasts 29 days and 12 hours.
The final edition is the Les Classiques Date which is powered by an automatic Calibre ML115 that is housed in a 40mm stainless steel case. Purchasers have a breath-taking choice of three dial options; a smooth silver dial is available with a choice of rhodium plated or 4N gold plated hands and indexes, an alternative silver dial is available that includes a brushed central dial area with matching minute track. The black gold dial option has 4N gold plated indexes. Each dial option displays three hands, a date aperture and is completed with either a calfskin strap or metal bracelet.
Eliros
The Eliros collection offers the essentials of time in a stylish, simple to interpret formusing three hands and a date window positioned at 3 o’clock. Available for men and women, the Eliros Date timepiece comes in a 38mm stainless steel or 4N gold plated steel case that delivers a notable degree of warmth. Powered by a quartz movement, the dial features elongated indexes and Roman numerals and is available in a delightful seven dial options that are presented with a colour coordinating calfskin strap or a stainless steel Milanese bracelet.
Powered by a quartz movement, the Eliros Date Ladies shares many design codes of the Eliros Date, however with an air of projected femininity the new ladies watch comes in a 30mm stainless steel or 4N gold plated case, where an extensive selection of different dial colours are available. Options include a white lacquered dial and silver, black and black gold options featuring a sun-brushed finish. An additional flourish of sparkle is optional where diamonds are positioned in place of the usual indexes.
Boasting clean cut lines and a legible face, The Eliros Chronographe is available in a 40mm stainless steel case, incorporating a high-quality Swiss quartz movement. The dial features three sub-dials that occupy the central area of the dial, including a 1/10th second counter, a 30 minute counter and a small seconds display. Just below the noon marker, is the date which is large enough to read at a second’s glance. Available in a choice of six dial options, the timepiece is presented on a calf strap or Milanese bracelet.
