OMEGA celebrates women with Nicole Kidman
The Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman joined Swiss luxury brand OMEGA in a series of special events held in Milan to revel on more than 100 years of ladies’ watchmaking
Marking her 10th anniversary as the OMEGA brand ambassador, Nicole Kidman was the main guest of honour in OMEGA’s gala dinner at the Palazzo del Ghiaccio in Milan on the 16th of September, 2015. The event brought together the many threads of OMEGA’s long history and devotion to women and their watches.
Stephen Urquhart, President of OMEGA, welcomed guests from around the world including many of Italy’s finest on-screen talents including actress Vittoria Puccini, and actors Claudio Santamaria and Luca Calvani. The event’s guests witnessed some of OMEGA’s history for themselves, with an array of OMEGA ladies’ watches on display.
Aside from the special evening event, Nicole Kidman was also spotted at the opening of “Her Time”, an art exhibition at La Triennale di Milano dedicated to OMEGA’s history of ladies watchmaking. Her Time” proudly displayed many iconic OMEGA timepieces, from early Lèpine pendants to the revolutionary Ladymatic that is still a timepiece of incredible beauty and innovation. Other time periods were also covered including 1920’s Art Déco as well as Jewellery watches from the 1960s and 70s.
Meanwhile, OMEGA a lso presented its heritage with many features and stories in digital format. This includes “Time For Her”, an online diary for women that includes interviews, portraits and inspiration from around the world.
