OMEGA Constellation gets face-lift
Redesigned in 2009, the Constellation collection offers a range of sizes, a choice of metals and a selection of dials and diamond option, ensuring there is at least one to suit every wrist
The design of the latest Constellation is strongly inspired by its distinguished predecessors, where the familiar star still sits at the 6 o’clock position and the resilient clawsclasp perfectly cut diamonds. Following its launch in 2014, the incredible Constellation Pluma has been unveiled with a newly designed coral-coloured mother-of-pearl dial.
The timepiece has short featherlike markings on the dial that give the watch a feminine character. Similar to its sisters, this 27mm case timepiece is adorned with 11 diamond indexes in 18K gold holders, whereas in place of the number 3, a small window has been added to display the date. The gleaming facetted central hour, minute and seconds hands are crafted from 18K gold and coated with white Super-LumiNova, so the time can be read in a range of lighting conditions.
As a popular feature in all Constellation models, four smooth cubes are left exposed as 32 full-cut delicate diamonds make their way around the 18K yellow gold bezel, highlighting the single solitary diamond standing at either end of the circle. The timepiece is presented on a stainless steel bracelet which is separated into links by rows of polished 18K gold. OMEGA is keen to add new compelling timepieces to the Constellation collection.
