OMEGA giant clock looks over Beijing

A giant OMEGA clock is officially unveiled at the famous WangFuJing Department Store in Beijing, which is also one of the city’s landmarks. Situated on the popular Wangfujing Street, the clock overlooks the metropolitan centre’s bustling activity and serves as a focal point for excited tourists who can see the clock from 100 metres away.  Equipped with a chiming bell, OMEGA’s presence will resound into the far corners of the ‘Golden Street’, attracting much attention to the clock’s imposing dimensions. Measuring 7.9 metres in diameter, the watch dial features a three metre long minute hand and a 2.15 metre hour hand. It has four dials and each side of the clock weighs more than four tons.
