Palmiero creations are redeeming beauties
Unique and inimitable objects, characterised by a refined, fluid and unmistakable style, Palmiero jewels are ideas translated into shapes and colours that show great experience and incredible creativity, and are recognisable at first glance. They stem from a gold jewellery tradition that for years has produced a limited number of pieces, sometimes unique ones, granting everyone the privilege of a very personal choice, anywhere. It is a selection that can satisfy all needs, if choice is guided by taste, style and personality.
Inspired by geometric shapes, nature, and artistic references to the style of the great 20th century painters, creations by Carlo Palmiero go beyond design and find their completeness in the precious stones whose pureness and quality make them unique: white, black, cognac, blue, green, yellow and purple diamonds, sapphires that fade gently like blue, pink and yellow watercolours, royal topazes, tanzanites, rubellites, opals.
The maison has always looked for beauty in the fantastic jewels they create. These jewels are evocative of a flower, an inlet, a cloud, a tree canopy, or a precious piece of macrame on an haute couture dress. The jewels aim to enchant us and give us the chance to forget disharmony and make room for the “pure beauty”, as the maison is certain that “Beauty Will Redeem the World”.
Andrea Palladio International Jewellery Award 2018
Every year, the Andrea Palladio International Jewellery Awards celebrate the best of contemporary jewellery, from design to production, from retail to communication, from CSR to lifetime achievement. Celebrated during VICENZAORO exhibition in Italy, the 2018 winners were chosen by an expert international jury, presided over by Franco Cologni, founder of the Fondazione Cologni – Mestieri d’Arte, who won the Lifetime Achievement Award himself in 2017. Other members of the jury included Silvana Annicchiarico – Director of the Triennale Design Museum, Alba Cappellieri – Professor of Jewellery Design at Milan Polytechnic, and Clare Phillips – Curator at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. Haute joaillerie maison Palmiero’s Underwater World Collection won the award for Best Italian Jewellery Collection.
Moulin Rouge Collection
Inspiration for this collection comes from the playful ballets of the Moulin Rouge – the place that saw the birth of the cancan – and from the dancers’ dresses. The necklace in white diamonds and rubies with patented flexible core embraces the neck. This playfully enchanting necklace is easy to wear, and is presented in set with matching earrings, and a ring that elegantly twirls around the finger.
Melting Colors Earring Collection
With this earring collection Carlo Palmiero once again exhibits his ability to combine colour and creativity perfectly. Melting Colors Collection comprises earrings in white gold with white diamonds and degraded pink sapphires – shapes combined by small parts linked as if they were puzzles. When worn, parts of the earrings move alternately and, thanks to the graduated hues, the jewels seem to “melt”. One set is crafted entirely in white diamonds.
“Masterpieces” – Captured Stones Collection
Masterpieces has magnificent stones in vibrant hues surrounded by delicately set brilliant diamonds; a white diamond pavé frame surrounds, sustains and beautifies the intense central rubellite, while another splendid topaz is framed by the most precious white and colour diamonds set on delicate white gold petals. Meanwhile, another Captured Stones Collection ring has a central topaz encircled by white gold with white and colour diamonds. Elsewhere, a ring in white gold with white diamonds frames an intense central rubellite.
“Embracing Flowers” Collection
The Embracing Flowers collection evoke an intimate embrace that shows esteem. Soft petals stand ready to welcome and protect fragile beauty, including that of mountain lakes and Caribbean seas that have inspired Carlo Palmiero’s homage to Mother Nature. The Flowers Collection has rings in white gold with white diamonds, sapphires, semiprecious stones and central opals, while rings in white gold with white diamonds, sapphires, and semiprecious stones surround a central chalcedony.
“Swan” – Animals Collection
Inspired by Tchaikovsky’s “Swan lake”, Palmiero interprets the character of Odette, the beautiful princess and beloved of Prince Siegfried, who is transformed into a swan by the spell of an evil sorcerer. With this jewel Carlo Palmiero symbolically expresses the power of love. The beauty of feelings that animates Odette, who waits to become once again a beautiful girl, is evinced by the sensual movements of the design, while the prince, conquered by Odette’s beauty, promises to save her from the witchcraft that turned her into a swan, even at the cost of his own life. The Swan brooch is of white gold, set with white and black diamonds, and sapphires.
