How do you think the values and culture of Italy are reflected through Panerai?
Italian luxury is renowned for its high-quality craftsmanship, innovative design, and technical expertise. The values and culture of Italy are reflected through Panerai by its artistic heritage and technical expertise as Italy has a long history of developing innovative technologies for its timepieces. Italians are also known for their passion and commitment to craft; this is reflected in Panerai’s function and beauty. Finally, Italians are synonymous with style and elegance, and Panerai watches are no exception.
Panerai has a fascinating story of how the brand came to life, which part of that story inspires you the most?
Panerai’s story is indeed fascinating, and there are several aspects of it that can be inspiring. One of the most inspiring parts of Panerai’s saga is its commitment to innovation and excellence. Another one is the fact that Panerai has a deep-rooted history with the Italian Navy and also in the luxury world – two worlds that would seem to be total opposites.
The part of Panerai’s story that is most inspiring is the brand’s unwavering commitment to distinction, which has been evident throughout its history. From its early days producing precision instruments for the Navy to its current position as a leading luxury watch brand, Panerai has always prioritised quality, innovation, and attention to detail. Looking back inspires me for the brand’s future.
Tell us about Panerai and sustainability?
Our commitment to promoting sustainability is paramount. One example is the brand’s partnership with the sustainability-focused organisation, Blue Marine Foundation, which focuses on the preservation and restoration of marine life and habitats.
Our approach to sustainability and innovation involves a combination of partnering with organisations focused on sustainability, utilising eco-friendly materials, and implementing sustainable practices in their operations. By focusing on these initiatives, we are working on safeguarding the future in all our creations.
What is your favourite watch in this year’s line up?
They are all close to my heart, but the Radiomir California has a special place considering the never seen-before details. I am especially proud of it.
