Perpétuel Gallery and Fiona Krüger collaborate for fractured dial

Perpétuel Gallery in Dubai has announced the release of Fracture, a new rule-breaking timepiece by the acclaimed Scottish artist-designer Fiona Krüger

Limited to just seven pieces, this watch challenges conventions with its unique ‘cracked’ dial, revealing the complexity of the Agenhor movement beneath. The fissure in the innovative dial is meticulously hand polished, featuring sun-brushing perfectly aligned across its two halves. Crafted by renowned manufacturer Comblémine, Krüger describes the dial as “edgy yet elegant,” and is inspired in part by the striking rock formations observed during Krüger’s frequent visits to Switzerland.

As part of Krüger’s Chaos collection, the watch boasts a recycled titanium case, polished split dauphin hands, a crown at 12 o’clock, floating indices, and an Arabic number 12. The two-tone green and copper colour scheme on the movement mirrors the colours of the Perpétuel Gallery in DIFC, Dubai, and required 12 months of research and development.

In line with Krüger’s commitment to an eco-friendly ethos, Fracture features a case made of titanium recycled from the Swiss watch industry’s discarded metal. One of the watch’s straps is crafted from apple “leather”, and the presentation box is constructed from seaweed paper.
