‘S by Salanitro’ unveils jewellery and mask collections

Inspired by the success of the first mask collection unveiled in 2023, this inaugural jewellery line embodies the artisanal excellence, creativity and refined aesthetics for which Pierre Salanitro is renowned while the second Mask collection finds inspiration from far-flung lands such as Japan, Gabon, and Indonesia

Pierre Salanitro – the renowned gem-setter and partner to the world’s leading watch brands, announced the launch of its very first jewellery collection. Previewed at Geneva Watch Week, this collection is on show at the ‘S by Salanitro’ showroom, nestled in the heart of the Salanitro workshops. Since its creation in 2023 in Geneva, the ‘S by Salanitro’ brand has rapidly established itself as a benchmark in the world of luxury, thanks to its bold and singular creations.

Jewellery
Their first jewellery collection, the fruit of three years of thought and hard work, marks a new stage in the brand’s evolution, testifying to its commitment to creating unique, precious pieces imbued with emotion and sophistication.

Each piece – whether necklace, ring, earring, or bracelet – is meticulously crafted in gold and magnified by a dazzling interplay of diamonds and precious stones such as ruby, tsavorite or sapphire. Sublimated by the expertise of the maison’s gem-setters, engravers, and jewellers, these jewels captivate with their beauty and sophistication.

Masks
The marque also debuted its second collection of precious and extraordinary objects. For its latest series of emblematic masks, S by Salanitro brings the spotlights to three new countries: Japan, Gabon, and Indonesia. Three masks – each a contemporary reinterpretation, bewitching and fascinating in its symbolism.

Crafted in vermeil and brought to life by the exceptional skills of master gem-setters, engravers, and jeweller-artisans, each mask dazzles with an array of diamonds and coloured stones, showcasing both technical prowess and artistic flair. Each piece measures approximately 20 cm in height and comes in a presentation box made by Geneva’s finest casemakers. The mask can also be displayed on the wall, thanks to the mount provided.

Japan – The Kitsune Mask: In Japan, the sacred fox wields mysterious magical powers.  An inseparable symbol of Japanese popular culture, the kitsune mask (狐) symbolises the fox god. A supernatural spirit, its origins trace back to the era of samurai warriors, geishas, and ninjas.

Gabon – The Ngil Mask: Connecting with the forces of the beyond in African lore, this S by Salanitro creation offers a contemporary reinterpretation of a mask from the Ngil secret society in Gabon, symbolising authority, power, and the purifying force of fire.

Indonesia – The Barong Mask: Barong, a creature born in Balinese mythology, is the lord of the forest and the leader of the Forces of Good. With immense spiritual power to ward off evil, Barong is a benevolent deity whom the Balinese invoke in times of trouble. The mask that represents this spirit is considered the most sacred in the island’s traditions.

From the outset, S by Salanitro, the brand created in Geneva in 2013, has distinguished itself by imagining, designing, and creating exceptional objects, and giving them a strong and singular identity in the world of luxury through a unique sparkle. While haute horlogerie has traditionally been the founder’s original core business, S by Salanitro explores new horizons. Here, his passion for unique and precious objects as the source of emotion is given free rein.
