Stars in attendance at Hublot’s inauguration of second manufacturing building
Hublot brand ambassadors Lapo Elkann and Pelé were present during the official opening of the second manufacturing building of the Swiss watch brand
Doubling the surface area of its current production centre, the luxury watch brand Hublot has achieved another milestone six years after the opening of its initial plant in Nyon in Switzerland. This year, on the 29th of September, in order to keep pace with the increasing demand and maintain the vertical growth of its production, the brand celebrated another remarkable feat: The inauguration of its second manufacturing building.
Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of Hublot and President of LVMH Group's Watch Division, and Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, welcomed a glamorous list of guests during the official unveiling. Present were the Hublot ambassadors Lapo Elkann and Pelé, as well as special guest -TV presenter and winner of ‘Dancing With The Stars Middle East’ Daniella Rahme, who all made the trip to celebrate this milestone in the brand's history.
The second manufacturing building attests the success and expansion of the brand. The Nyon architectural firm Coreta has added 8,000 m² of surface where Hublot will install 100 workstations over the next 5 years, which will give the company a workforce of over 400 people in Switzerland. This new unit, which sits alongside the first building, is mainly dedicated to producing components for Manufacture movements and producing watch cases.
After the star-studded opening, the momentous inauguration also saw the launch of the marketing campaign that would celebrate the 10th anniversary of the iconic Big Bang collection in 73 Hublot stores worldwide.
