TAG Heuer celebrates its heritage in Dubai

TAG Heuer is presenting its Haute Horlogerie watchmaking prowess for the first time in Dubai, showcasing 41 remarkable timepieces from the iconic Monaco, Carrera, and Plasma collections

Twenty-three heritage pieces highlight the Maison’s storied past while 18 avant-garde Haute Horlogerie models demonstrate the brand’s unwavering commitment to innovation and craftsmanship.

Guests had the exclusive opportunity to meet the proficient watchmaking team from TAG Heuer’s Swiss headquarters: Carole Kasapi, Strategy and Movements Director; Julien Delcambre, Lead Designer; and Laurent Kervyn, Haute Horlogerie Ambassador. This trio offered insights into the intricate craftsmanship behind each timepiece, the meticulous design process, and the heritage that spans over 160 years.

Founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer, TAG Heuer has a rich history of pioneering advancements in watchmaking. Edouard’s early innovations included the crown-operated keyless winding system, which revolutionised how watches were wound. In 1887, he introduced the “oscillating pinion,” enabling chronographs to start and stop instantly – a mechanism still used today.

Heuer’s precision timepieces became essential for sporting events, leading to the development of the Mikrograph in 1916, the world’s first mechanical stopwatch capable of measuring time to 1/100th of a second. This achievement solidified TAG Heuer’s reputation in the realm of sports timing.
