The Speedmaster “First OMEGA in Space” is released in Numbered Edition

This year, Swiss luxury watchmaker OMEGA reprises the moon-phased Speedmaster "First OMEGA in Space" as inspired by the iconic chronograph that astronaut Walter Schirra worn during the historic “Sigma 7” mission of the Mercury program in 1962. This numbered edition model features an updated 18K Sedna™ gold case with symmetric lugs, and a 1962 Seahorse medallion and special engravings on the caseback. It boasts a unique brown polished ceramic bezel ring and a matt chromium nitride tachymeter scale. The rich brown palette continues on the subdials and minutes track, which encircles a central opaline silvery dial. To complete this remarkable watch, there is a brown leather strap with beige stitching, and a central core driven by the OMEGA calibre 1861.
