Moser & Cie. was founded by Heinrich Moser in 1828, and is based in Neuhausen am Rheinfall. The haute horlogerie marque has developed 14 in-house calibres to date and produces more than 1,500 watches every year. Through its sister company Precision Engineering, H. Moser & Cie. manufactures parts such as regulating organs and balance-springs, which are used for its own production as well as to supply its partner companies. This year, the brand presents stunning tourbillons, minute repeaters, and other additions to its Endeavour and Pioneer lines
Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Tiger’s Eye
H. Moser & Cie. brings the Tiger’s Eye stone to life in an almost psychedelic setting, revealing its full beauty and mystery in two references that feature neither logo nor indices, and an aperture at 6 o’clock to magnify the one-minute flying tourbillon. There are two versions of the Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Tiger’s Eye: white gold and Falcon’s Eye or red gold and Ox’s Eye. Just 50 of each will be produced due to the difficulty in sourcing stones that have the regular parallel lines and complexity required for the production of the dials. As Tiger’s Eye stones are all different, every piece they are used to create will be unique. The workshops will produce around twenty watches a year.
Both models are powered by the calibre HMC 804 movement. A marvel of ingenuity, this self-winding Manufacture movement is equipped with a double flat hairspring designed and produced in-house. Thanks to this pair of matched hairsprings, the movement of the point of gravity on each spring when it expands is corrected and the effect of friction reduced, significantly improving accuracy and isochronism in continual pursuit of perfection.
Pioneer Centre Seconds Mega Cool
The dial of the Pioneer Centre Seconds Mega Cool is the colour of tropical oceans, with a transparent lacquer logo affixed at 12 o’clock. Featuring anthracite grey faceted applique indices topped with Super-LumiNova markers, it has three-dimensional hands made from two sections, overlaid with strips of Globolight, an innovative ceramic-based material containing Super-LumiNova. At the heart of the timepiece beats the HMC 200 movement. Designed, developed and produced in-house, this calibre is equipped with a regulating organ manufactured by H. Moser & Cie.’s sister company, Precision Engineering AG. Decorated with the famous Moser double stripes on the bridges and the main plate, and housing a large engraved oscillating weight, the calibre HMC 200 is completely Moser, boasts a power reserve of three days, and is water-resistant to 12 ATM.
Pioneer Tourbillon Mega Cool
The Pioneer Tourbillon Mega Cool’s Blue Lagoon fumé dial features the brand’s logo at 12 o’clock, in transparent lacquer. Featuring anthracite grey faceted applique indices topped with Super-LumiNova markers, the watch has three-dimensional hands made from two sections, overlaid with strips of Globolight. It features a steel case and a domed sapphire crystal, water-resistant to 12 ATM. The self-winding HMC 804 calibre is equipped with a double hairspring designed and produced in-house. Thanks to this, the movement of the point of gravity on each spring when it expands is corrected, significantly improving accuracy and isochronism, and reducing the effect of friction. The tourbillon’s unique design makes it an interchangeable module, assembled and regulated independently of the movement via a simple plug and play system that allows for easy servicing.
