Two new Fifty Fathoms Chronographs from Blancpain
Blancpain has introduced two new variants of its Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Flyback Chronograph watches, playing with red gold and grade 23 titanium. Recently introduced into its collections by Blancpain, grade 23 titanium is the purest type of titanium available and contains less oxygen than the ‘standard’ titanium used in watchmaking, improving the metal’s resistance to breakage and corrosion. The dial features a sunburst pattern with a snailed motif on the chronograph counters and is framed by a unidirectional rotating bezel with a ceramic inlay. The watches measure 43 mm in diameter and are water-resistant to approximately 300 m and are paired with a NATO or sailcloth strap matching the dial colour. The sail canvas strap of the red gold version comes with a choice of pin buckle or folding clasp, while the grade 23 titanium model is also available with a titanium bracelet.
