Ulysse Nardin gives the Dual Time Manufacture Lady a new look
The Swiss watch brand Ulysse Nardin announces that its classic Dual Time Manufacture Lady receives a make-over with a fresh face and a new movement
A stunning timepiece that has been a favourite among feminine watch aficionados, the Ulysse Nardin Dual Time Manufacture Lady has become more dainty and functional with its latest look that exudes nothing but elegance.
Offered in a winter white palette that shimmers with the iridescence found only in mother of pearl – the outer coating of a pearl – and a rich, shiny black, the 37.5 mm watch is available in two dial colours and two styles, as well. Both are decorated in gold or stainless steel and diamonds galore with elegant and colourful wristbands to match. For the woman who prefers a wealth of sparkle, she can select the timekeeper adorned with diamonds encircling the entire bezel. The model with the sleek, unembellished bezel is ideal for the woman who finds less to be more.
Powered for the first time by the in-house conceived and manufactured Caliber 334, this beautiful self-winding movement flaunts an escapement in Silicium with patented inertial balance wheel, and provides about 48 hours of power reserve Devised with frequent travellers in mind, the dual time manufacture – a significant milestone in the history of contemporary watchmaking – allows wearers to adjust the second time zone and date forward, as well as backward.
Each alluring version features a face that exudes a timeless radiance, dressed up by a very whimsical Roman numeral XII encompassing 12 diamonds; diamond hour markers; small seconds at 6 o’clock comprised of 12 diamonds; and even more diamonds decorating the crown. The hour and second hands, and iconic Ulysse Nardin anchor, are crafted in gold, adding to the wristwatch’s lasting allure.
Easy to read and adjust, the “home time” indicator advances steadily over 24 hours in an aperture at 9 o’clock, while the small hand can easily be aligned with local time, either forward or backward. This is achieved by pressing the (+) or (-) pushers at 10 o’clock and 8 o’clock, without having to remove the watch from the wrist or interrupt its timekeeping. The large date display synchronises with the hour hand adjusters, for the date moves automatically forward or backward when adjustments are made over midnight.
Aside from its water-resistant crown and its anti-reflective sapphire crystal, the timepiece finished off its new look with leather strap and folding buckle.
