Ulysse Nardin Makes a Splash
The Le Locle based Swiss watch Manufacture, Ulysse Nardin, is pleased to introduce the Black Sea timepiece that keenly embraces its rich oceanic history
A master creator of watches used for diving and sailing, the naval-themed brand has unveiled the Black Sea as a member of its Marine collection. The Black Sea carries many characteristics of its family, such as being highly durable, a result of the athletic structure that is presented in a stainless steel case coated with vulcanized rubber. The vulcanization process enhances the timepiece’s comfort and flexibility around the wrist, but moreover, it’s known for its ability to withstand the most extreme conditions. Other remarkable elements of the watch include: a unidirectional turning bezel, a rubberized screw crown for added water-resistance to an impressive depth of 200 meters and a rubber strap with two ceramic elements and folding clasp for a secure fit.
Proven in function and reliability, the self-winding timepiece is sporty in nature. Its black tone with blue and gold accents provides a refined essence that can easily transform from wet suit to dining attire. It is both a state-of-the-art diving instrument and a representation of great design. The wave-embossed dial is equipped with a circular power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock and an oversized small second’s disc at 6 o’clock, which houses a round date window. Powered by a UN-26, 11 ½’’ calibre, which stores an impressive 42 hour power reserve, the Black Sea is a limited edition of 1846 pieces.
