Ulysse Nardin releases the Hannibal
The Hannibal Minute Repeater pays homage to the great Carthaginian general Hannibal Barca, who was considered one of the world’s formidable military commanders. During the Second Punic War, Hannibal crossed the Pyrenees and Alps with an army of soldiers and a herd of elephants, taking a triumphant victory in Italy. Ulysse Nardin depicts this incredible journey in the 18 carat white gold effigies that are set within a 44mm platinum case. Limited to just 30 pieces, the miniature figures on the dial are mounted on a granite plate sourced from the very mountain chain Hannibal crossed. Powered by a UN-78 one-minute tourbillon calibre, it has an impressive power reserve of 70 hours.
