Ulysse Nardin sponsors Kuwait Yacht Show

The Kuwait Yacht Show is a leading five day event that focuses on the yacht and marine sector, allowing professionals to get together and establish networks in their field

Middle East Managing Director of Ulysse Nardin, Christophe Chorao, was on hand to give “Day and Night” Magazine a brief explanation about the brands interest in the nautical field

How did the relationship between Ulysse Nardin and Behbehani begin?

We have enjoyed a very good professional relationship that has spanned a period of eight years. At first, I was a little hesitant as they are a colossal company who deal with renowned brands and I was worried that Ulysse Nardin would be lost in the group and not get enough attention, but I couldn’t have been more wrong as the company is professional and has given us support in terms of sales and marketing. We had the best year in 2014, especially in Kuwait where we have the highest average sales figures.

How would you describe the Kuwaiti clients?

Our Kuwaiti clients are true horology connoisseurs. They are keen and educated on big complications such as the tourbillion and perpetual calendar functions.

Why did Ulysse Nardin want to be the official timekeeper of the boat show?

There is a strong nautical aspect which constructs our brands history as it was the official supplier for the Russian Navy in the 18th century. So it was natural for us to sponsor the biggest boat show in the world.
